Sam had bought a preloved dress and wanted a dramatic overhaul! Her vision had strong gothic influences and real drama. She also wanted something to give more coverage at the top of her dress and arms.

We used influences from Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty and photographs she had of other dresses to evolve this beautiful design together. 

No fitting was needed, but a great deal of careful unpicking of the original silver lace motifs. Black lace borders and motifs were hand cut from lace fabric. These were hand appliquéd to the dress, together with the original silver motifs. A bolero style top was created and stitched to the dress. 

Subtle purple beads were added to the bodice to echo the colour theme of the wedding.

A total transformation to reflect Sam's unique style.
