Emese

Emese

Emese had extravagant ideas to use a strong red colour in her wedding dress.

She eventually settled on red piping on the bodice and a long train lined with red to give a dramatic flash of colour at the back. A red placket behind the corset lacing showed off the detail of the corsetry and continued the line of red through the full length of the dress.

Ivory silk dupion and red dupion were used for the skirt and bodice, with corded lace and hand stitched pearl beading for the bodice. Corded lace motifs were also added to the train and front of the skirt to link the two pieces. We also added a bolero jacket for the church ceremony, which had red piping to echo the colours on the skirt and bodice.

Her dress was made as separates so she could change into a shorter, tighter skirt with crepe backed satin flounce for salsa dancing in the evening.

An incredible design to reflect her personality!
